So you want to learn to play the guitar quickly. Many people have that desire, but there are a few basic things you need to learn, that will drastically improve your chances for success. First off, you need to be able to tune your guitar. It will do you no good if you learn to play with a guitar out of tune. If you don’t have a good enough ear to tune it by ear, then go to a music store and pick up a tuner.

While you are there, you may as well pick up a chart that shows all the notes on the guitar. Now with your guitar tuned, and your chart by your side, you’re ready to begin learning. Start by memorizing the notes, all the way up the neck. If you find this super boring, you can do this while you watch TV. The important part at this point is the fingering of the notes, not the actual playing of them. Memorize those notes.

Once you have memorized the notes on the guitar, you can learn some basic chords. The G chord is played at the third fret, sixth string – which is the bass E string- is played in the third fret, preferably with the fourth finger, The A string, next one down, is played in the second fret with the third finger, and the first string, high E or bottom, is played also in the third fret with the baby finger. The rest of the strings are open, strum this and you’re playing the G chord.

D chord is relatively simple, place your second finger on the bottom string, your third finger on the next string up, third fret, and your first finger on the G string, your second and first fingers play second fret. Start strumming at the D string, which is the first string above your top finger.

The A chord is really simple, The B, G, and D strings are all played in the second fret. Many people are able to play all three strings with just their index and middle fingers, while some of us use index, middle and ring fingers. That’s the A chord, now if you play it with your third finger on the B string, your second finger on the D string and your first, or index, finger on the G string, it makes switching to A7 really, really easy. Simply lift your index finger off, and now you’re playing A7.

Now you can practice these chords, and any others you can learn the positioning of with your chart. Once you get fairly comfortable with the chords and can change back and forth between them, start playing along with some music. You may not get it right at first, but hey you’re still learning.

Now time to add another element to your learning. Remember when you memorized all those notes on the guitar. Well now you get to use them for something. Pick a note, and then try and sing that note. Move around and use different notes, and don’t worry it will get easier with practice. Alternate between the notes/singing and the chords.

Practice with a variety of notes, until you can pick it and sing it almost instantly. Then if you want to really get impressive, try to sing a note, and then pick the appropriate note on your guitar. Now you’re well on your way to learn to play the guitar quickly. If you know a good guitar player, ask them if they could teach you some good tips, and then practice, practice, practice.

Have you ever wanted to learn to play the guitar quickly? Our how to play the guitar fast method is by far the fastest and easiest way for anyone to learn to play the guitar quickly, regardless of musical background.

Twist and Shout is an easy song to learn on the guitar. This 50′s rock song contains only 3 chords, so even if you’re picking up the guitar for the first time it should be no problem. Use open D, G, and A chords.

By Guest Author - Denzil De Vries

If you are planning to learn guitar, possibly the first thing you need to think about is a method or course that will teach you how to learn guitar. If you are lucky, you may have a family member or friend that can give you tuition, however most people do not have this luxury and have to look into getting a course. Guitar courses have come a long way from the guide books of yesteryear. They now provide far more multimedia devices to get their points across and this has certainly made such courses more successful. So how do you select the best guitar course for your needs. Well this might come down to the way you learn or your learning modalities.

Studies suggest that certain people learn in different ways or rather certain people have more aptitude, patience, discipline or call it what you will for certain methods than other people. Some people respond to reading, some to audio others have to do something before they truly understand it. Some people have to see other people doing something before they can attempt it. These are known as learning modalities.

So in order for you to select the best guitar course for your needs you should consider how you like to learn knew ideas and concepts. Are you more comfortable reading about something or do you prefer to watch a video.

This has to be qualified to some extent. You will probably find that you have a preference for one modality but will respond to all of them. They are really just different communication channels that we are all open to. So a course that has all these modalities as a way of teaching would be a superior course. But if you have identified the best way that you learn something new, you might want to look for a guitar course that features that method of instruction heavily. In this way you will get a course that fits your preferred teaching method and thus it will be the best guitar course for you.

See how the [http://jamoramareviews.com/jamorama-guitar-course/]jamorama guitar course fits your style of learning. Go to [http://jamoramareviews.com/jamorama-review/]Jamorama reviews for more details.

Ranked as number 384 on Rolling Stone magazine’s of the 500 greatest songs of all time, “Ticket to Ride” was released by the Beatles in 1965 on their album entitled “Help”.

Many have come up with theories to exactly what the song’s meaning is. According to Don Short, Ticket to Ride is a phrase coined by John Lennon about the cards indicating a clean bill of health, handed out to Hamburg prostitutes in the 1960s. A different explanation attributes the song’s meaning to the experience of Lennon’s mother leaving the family when he was a child.

Another fun song for the campfire, even if you are beginner you shouldn’t have too many problems strumming this one out. Below the instructional video I have included a Ticket to Ride backing track and free song chord sheet. Good luck!

In reality, there is no way to instantly learn how to play the guitar. There are definitely methods that you can use that will cut down the learning curve. You can’t expect to be able to pick up a guitar and be a master it within one day.

Learning to play the guitar doesn’t take only one day of practice. The most famous guitarists didn’t learn their skills in just one day. They put a lot of time into practice and disciplined themselves to be patient.

In fact, most of the famous guitarists had been playing guitar for years before they made it big. Even when you get very good at playing guitar, there will always be something new to learn.

You should know the parts of the guitar and their functions. Then, you can start playing the easy chords. Don’t try to be too overzealous and try to learn the power chords or the sharp and minor chords.

Practice one chord at a time. But be sure that before practicing the next chord, you have already mastered the previous chord. Each chord should be played properly with proper hand placement on the strings. If it doesn’t sound good then you are not doing it right.

Playing a certain chord over and over again is the best thing that you can do. After that, you can start playing easy songs with your guitar. Find songs that have the chords that you have already learned and mastered.

Once you master each chord you will build confidence within yourself. When you learn an easy song and master it, you will further build your confidence in your playing. By doing this, it will also further encourage you to want to keep learning and practicing. It’s very fulfilling to be able to play your first song after putting some time and effort into it.

If you have realistic expectations and want to learn to play the guitar easily, then you just have to put some work into it, and have to be patient with yourself. There are several tutorials that are easy to understand and that will help you to learn how to play the guitar.

If you want to learn to play the guitar easily, then the first step is to find quality instruction. It doesn’t matter in what form. You can take guitar lessons from someone who knows how to play. You can buy DVD guitar instructions. You can even find guitar lessons on the internet.

If you want to learn to play the guitar easily, then guitar lessons on the internet may be your best bet. You can learn at your own pace. You don’t have to leave your house to go anywhere. Compared to lessons, the cost is very minimal. They provide all the quality training you need to take you from a novice to skilled.

It helps to practice playing the guitar with easy guitar songs. You start learning how to play by knowing the basics. When you are already familiar with the technical aspects and already know the different notes and chords, sticking to the traditional lessons may get boring. A healthy way to learn faster and to keep your interest is to practice with songs that are not complicated for beginners to play.

Here are some songs that you can use for a more fun and productive way of learning to play the guitar.

America’s “Horse With No Name” is not just popular; it is also very simple to play. You would only use two chords all throughout to play this classic. These are the “E minor” and “D” chords.

Another is “About A Girl” popularized by the legendary rock band, Nirvana. You can play the verse just with a progression of the open position chords “A” and “G”. It will get a little complicated as you get to the chorus. But, you will easily get used to the additional chords as you practice.

Lastly, there is the crowd favorite “Margaritaville” by Jimmy Buffet. You will get the tunes right by simply repeating the D-A-G chords throughout the song. This is fun and is also perfect for learning. Aside from practicing with the basic chords, it would also introduce you to more advanced lessons like the walking base line.

Here are a few other choices you could practice with:

Before You Accuse Me by The Blues

If Not for You by Bob Dylan

For What It’s Worth by Buffalo Springfield

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd

Help! by The Beatles

Hurt by Johnny Cash

Happy by The Rolling Stones

Fire by Bruce Springsteen

Three Marlenas by The Wallflowers

House of the Rising Sun by The Animals

If you want, you can get to the spirit of Christmas while learning how to play the guitar with the easy to play classic, “Silent Night”.

These easy guitar songs are perfect for beginners because they make any learning experience easy and a lot more fun.

Although Neil has never been one to worry about making hit records, this song is by far his greatest hit and probably best-known song. Neil wrote the song in 1971 while suffering from a back injury and released it on his harvest album in 1972.

The song’s composition is not difficult but it has enough of a hook that it catches your ears. An easy song for the beginning guitarist. However, the actual rhythm may take a couple trial runs.

I have included the backing track and a song chord sheet below. Another must know campfire song and a favorite of mine. Enjoy!

AUTHOR NOTE: This song is in the key of G and I’m using a regular ten-hole diatonic harmonica in the key of G… probably a Hohner Blues Harp by the looks of it, but I’d recommend the Big River by them… they’re usually cheaper and they’re pretty good. All the best! – E ps yes if you want to use an Em7 in the intro, it would be more correct. Em(7) D Em(7) D Em CD G… Em GC G…

I have put together a PDF document that you can use for a chord reference to the song. You can download it to your computer by clicking here Heart of Gold – Song Chord Sheet
