Guitar Program Reviews

Listed below are some of my favorite online guitar programs (and yes I am or have been a member to them all at one time or another).

Learning the guitar by watching free videos and visiting other resources on the web can be a lot of fun. However, if you are serious about becoming a guitarist, it is probably not the best way to learn. In fact, it is far better to either hire a guitar teacher or subscribe to a systematic program. That way you will learn much quicker and be much more productive with your time.

For those of you who are interested, I have been a member of the programs below. All of them are good (and some are suited for specific goals) but not each is equal and I will tell you why.

 

Jamorama

Learning to play the guitar can be difficult. It is best if you have a qualified instructor to teach you how to play the guitar. In today’s hectic and busy life, it may not be possible to work guitar lessons into your schedule. Not to mention, guitar lessons can really add up and cost a small fortune. Does this mean that you should try and do it on your own? You could, but chances are you’ll get frustrated and without structured lessons you may never progress…

The acoustic guitar, in its present form, has been around since the late 1780’s. The acoustic guitar gives a rich and distinguished sound. Any song played correctly on an acoustic guitar sounds beautiful.
