A massive hit for the Canadian band Nickelback, “Rockstar” was released on their “All The Right Reasons” album in 2005.

During an interview Chad Kroeger told Musicomh:

“We had a lot of fun with that one. Just crazy nonsensical things that help paint this picture of someone dreaming about being a Rock Star. It’s what you would also do if you won the lottery. I hope it comes across as us having a lot of fun and even to some degree, making fun of ourselves.”

Rockstar is not only a fun song to play but a great song for beginners to practice chord changes.

ACDC for the chorus?…..try A C D F G instead…it sounds a lot more like the record then lol!!
….maybe i’m just a bit old school… but why detune your guitar to record what you would play live at normal tuning?

In general I don’t really like those video lessons but… this one is great. Not only your playing, which looks so laid-back and sounds so awesome, especially the last with these cool riffs, it is also your kind of teaching.
