Stevie Ray Vaughan Guitar Lesson

March 8th, 2009 · 25 Comments · Blues Guitar Lessons, Rock Guitar Lessons, Stevie Ray Vaughan Guitar Lessons, Video Guitar Lessons

An interesting inerview and guitar lesson with the late (and great) Stevie Ray Vaughan. Although there is not too much actual instruction, it’s a great insight into the man, his favorite riffs and other interesting tidbits. Well worth a watch.

Been a blues fan for a long time, thanks to seeing Stevie Ray play on his 30th bday in Kalamazoo Mi. Johnny Copeland opened for him. I was a student at WMU and caught the show. It was eye opening, jaw dropping, life changing. What an incredible talent. Seeing him play changed the way I listened to music. His heart and soul was channeled through his guitar. Rave On brother!

I love a lot of different artists and guitar players, but SRV simply had it all. His playing is so fluid and complex, yet sounds so right..not sure how to explain it….not sure if you CAN explain it.

SRV = TOTAL BLUES MAN. He’s right up there with Hendrix: KINGS of 10 fingers and 6 strings. I LOVE SRV & Double Trouble’s music.
