AC/DC – Let There Be Rock – Electric Guitar Lesson

“Let There be Rock” was released on AC/DC’s album of the same name in 1979.

During an interview, Angus Young recalled the following about the recording session for the song:

“I remember the amp literally exploded during the recording session. My brother watched it with crazed eyes, and he told me ‘Come on! Keep on playing!’ while the stuff was steaming.”

AC/DC – Girls Got Rhythm – Electric Guitar Lesson

Released in 1979 on my favorite AC/DC album, “Highway to Hell”, “Girls Got Rhythm” was also released as a single in the same year. A live version of this song can be found on the album Let There Be Rock: The Movie, part of the Bonfire box set. It is also featured in the Movie Dead Or Alive DOA.

In the video guitar lessons video below you’ll be instructed on the the riffs from the AC/DC classic. A great rock’n tune.

AC/DC – TNT – Beginner’s Electric Guitar Lesson

TNT is the song that started it all for AC/DC. It was originally released in Australia on their second album which was also entitled TNT. Later both their native Australia albums were to be combined and released worldwide on the album High Voltage.

TNT also has the distinction of being the first single that featured Bon Scott on lead vocals who got the gig when AC/DC’s original singer Dave Evans didn’t show up for an engagement.

The video below offers the main song rhythm, as well as, the solo. Other than the solo, a beginner should be able to add this song to his repertoire in no time. A great rock’n tune – have fun.

AC/DC – Back in Black – Electric Guitar Lesson

The title track to AC/DC’s bestselling album “Back in Black” with over 40 million sales worldwide. It was also the first album to feature Brian Johnson as lead singer, released 5 months after Bon Scott’s untimely demise.

The song (and album) is a tribute to Bon Scott and with lyrics like, “Forget the hearse, cause I never die” it suggests that Scott will live on forever through his music.

In this video guitar lesson from Jamplay David does a great job of showing all the main parts of the song. The main rhythm of Back in Black shouldn’t be too hard to nail -down for anyone who has learnt how to play bar chords.

AC/DC – Highway To Hell – Beginner’s Electric Guitar Lesson

The three chord classic song “Highway to Hell” was the first AC/DC song to chart in the United States. Found on the sixth album (also entitled Highway to Hell) released by AC/DC, it went on to sell over seven million copies.

Sadly it was the last album that featured Bon Scott as lead singer who was found dead in his car in 1980.

AC/DC orginally recorded this song in the key of G. A lot of fun to play, you shouldn’t have too many problems. I have also included the backing track to the song below so that you can play along with the band after you have learn’t the song.
