    • ]]>     Van Halen’s first single, You Really Got Me was a cover of the The Kinks first hit recorded in 1964. Eddie, who at the time was only 21 years old, did his own take on the song with impressive results.

    The frontman of The Kinks and author of the song, Ray Davies was later to say that it was the better of the two versions.

    This Van Halen guitar lesson video below includes both rhythm and lead instruction for the song. Additionally I have included a backing track for the song that you can use to practice with. Enjoy!
